Learning Lab: From Room Reservations to a Reimagined Digital Branch

Thursday, April 9, 2026
11:00am - 12:00pm (Eastern Time - US & Canada) change time zone

About:

What began as a migration to a new room reservation system sparked a complete digital transformation for Arlington Public Library (APL). Learn how APL leveraged the power of Springy Tools – including LibGuides, LibCal, LibAnswers, LibWizard, and Patron Point – to build a cohesive and user-friendly digital branch. Library patrons can sign up for a library card, book rooms, register for events, search FAQs, chat with staff, and more – all from one site

Steve Koebel, Library Services Manager of Technology Services at APL, shares strategies, lessons learned, and practical tips to help you enhance your own library's virtual presence. You won't want to miss Steve's tips for managing multiple locations and different types of patrons! This Learning Lab will offer inspiration and actionable insights to meet your users where they are.

This 1-hour presentation will cover:

  • Overview of Springy Tools
  • Tips for creating a self-service digital branch
  • How integrating Springshare Tools with your ILS supports personalized outreach and secure authentication
  • Benefits of a unified platform for staff training and internal workflows
  • Time for Q&A
Registration has closed.
