About:
How To Deliver a Manageable High-Touch Experience Using LibCal
New LibCal Features
High-touch customer service is usually reserved for face-to-face interactions. However, with the new LibCal 'Appointments' Updates.. you can deliver a white-glove highly personalized library experience that transitions seamlessly from online scheduling to face-to-face appointments.
New Appointments Module
- Location Option - We added a new, high-level option to create Locations. When patrons first view the All Users Appointments landing page, they choose the location where they’d like to meet, and then see the groups/librarians associated with that Location.
- Reworked Availability Settings - H In the new Appointments, a librarian can define availability for themselves in specific locations/groups at specific times.
- File Uploads - Allow patrons to share files that may be needed during the course of a meeting.
- Nicknames - Choose a nickname to display on the public side of the system, e.g. instead of booking an appointment with Sarah, patrons can book an appointment with the Science Liaison.
- ... and more!
We'll Cover:
- Overview Tour - a brief tour of LibCal including all four components.
- Mobile-First/Responsive Design - Learn how LibCal displays beautifully on any device.
- New Appointments Module - Latest features and updates to the 'My Scheduler' have made it so robust, we're renaming it the 'Appointments' module to accurately reflect it's capabilities.
