SUMMARY:Learning Lab: Leveraging Library Card Sign-Up Month
DESCRIPTION:Library Card Sign-Up Month in September is the perfect time to
connect with new audiences and encourage those who aren’t regular patrons
to discover the benefits of library membership. And now is the best time to
start planning! But how can libraries effectively engage with individuals
who don’t currently use their services?\n\nThis session dives into the
strategies and successes of the Hamilton East Public Library\, which
launched an incredibly impactful\, multi-faceted marketing campaign during
last year’s Library Card Sign-Up Month. By leveraging Patron Point
tools\, the library was able to drive an impressive increase in library
card registrations. \n\nThis 1-hour presentation with Hamilton East Public
Library's Marketing Team will cover:\n\n\n	Why choosing an integrated
campaign can work for your library\n	How to prepare for the campaign with
data collection and content creation\n	Creative content examples that you
can take back to your library\n	Time for Q&A\n\n\n\nKelsey Sweet is the
Director of Marketing & Communications for the Hamilton East Public Library
(HEPL) in Fishers and Noblesville\, Indiana. Kelsey has worked on the
Marketing & Communications team at HEPL for over 12 years. One of her
favorite parts of working in library marketing is connecting with her
community through meaningful campaigns. In her spare time\, Kelsey loves to
go on adventures with her husband and first-grade son. Some favorite
 adventures include travel\, concerts\, parks\, and exploring
bookstores.\n\nJane Senisse is the Online Marketing & Communications
Specialist for HEPL. Jane has worked in libraries for over 10 years and
earned her MLIS with a specialization in Youth Services from IUPUI in 2023.
She has also worked in marketing for three years\, with a focus on content
strategy and storytelling. In her spare time\, Jane enjoys baking sourdough
bread\, exploring new coffee shops\, and trying to keep up with her
 one-year-old son.
