DESCRIPTION:The University of Alabama at Birmingham's (UAB) Libraries have 
 been entering into transformative agreements with a variety of publishers 
 for the past several years. As this initiative gained traction\, it became 
 clear how important it was to showcase the value of these agreements to the 
 university. Jeff Graveline\, Associate Dean for Research and Scholarly 
 Communication\, developed a system for tracking these crucial statistics 
 using LibInsight. This detailed tracking has produced a dynamic dashboard\, 
 highlighting how the agreements saved UAB researchers $1.8 million in 
 Article Processing Charges (APCs)!\n\nDon't miss this fascinating

 Communication. He is involved nationally with the American Library 
 Association (ALA) and the Association of College & Research Libraries 
 (ACRL) and served as President of the Alabama Library Association. Jeff’s 
 research interests focus on scholarly communication\, specifically the 
 intersection between copyright and higher education. Prior to joining UAB 
 in 2006\, Jeff practiced law in Birmingham and served as a law clerk in the 
 Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama. He holds a J.D. and 
 an M.L.I.S. from the University of Alabama and a B.A. in History from
