It's never too early to start planning for summertime at the public library! 

Cari Hillman, Community Engagement Director of the MidPointe Library System, shares marketing tips and tricks to help make your summer reading program a success. Scalable to libraries of all sizes, this session will outline the power of a comprehensive marketing plan and ways to incorporate Patron Point resources into your marketing mix.

This 1-hour presentation will cover:

  • Introduction to Patron Point by Springy Dain
  • The value of going “all in” on summer library programs
  • Reframing your summer marketing mindset
  • Tips to utilize Patron Point in your summer reading program marketing mix
  • Time for Q&A

Cari Hillman has over 20 years of marketing experience, though she delights in using assorted social media filters to make it look more like 5. She serves as the Community Engagement Director for the MidPointe Library System in southwest Ohio, overseeing library marketing, community partnership development, and system-wide programming and outreach. She holds a BA and MBA from Wright State University and serves on multiple committees and local boards. She hates X (formerly Twitter), loves Instagram, and dreams of enlisting TikTok celebrities in her library marketing campaigns.
