Accessibility for LibGuides

Tuesday, January 27, 2026
2:00pm - 3:00pm (Eastern Time - US & Canada) change time zone

About:

While system-generated content in LibGuides, such as navigation, is designed to be accessible, users are responsible for ensuring their guide content and customizations also adhere to accessibility standards. Join us to learn about common accessibility issues and best practices, as well as how to use freely available testing tools to check your site. This is part one of a five-part series to help your library comply with upcoming ADA Title II regulations or your local accessibility laws.

We'll cover:

  • Customizing guide design for accessibility
  • Adding accessible content
  • Reviewing your site using accessibility testing tools
